Ability for student to get in sync with the current slide of the presenter
considering
Ability for student to get in sync with the current slide of the presenter so that they can follow along effortlessly. It's something Nearpod does nicely - as the lecturer changes slides, it also changes on the student view, this would be nice to have in ALP.
Obviously if student are taking notes they may not want the slides to move over until they have finished annotating, so a button to get in sync / roam freely would help

Presenting a slide deck from an EchoVideo Classroom should advance slides for students just like EchoPoll does. This will help students stay focused on the content.
This might also help replace the current activity/poll creation process in EchoVideo, as well.
Inside EchoVideo, polls have to be attached to a classroom presentation slot or inserted as interactive media from the Video Details page of a piece of media. We cannot create banks of polling questions apart from a piece of media.
If EchoPoll can allow for creating such a bank without first being attached to a piece of media, this would be very beneficial for instructors and TAs

Allow the tutor to control the pace that the students view the slides
Allow staff to move the presentation slides on for all users, to ensure that students are all on the correct slide

I agree with the point regarding student choice, that it should be students who are in control of if and when to sync - forced sync by instructors could be too disruptive to note-taking.

It's a related aspect - instructors want to share information on one slide and pose questions to the students, with further information revealed on subsequent slides. If students are able to move forward to the next slide, they can undermine the activities.

Detailed
When you're replaying a lecture recording and the lecturer changes slides, it should update the presentation slide also so that they stay in sync. This could be an optional setting so that students can choose whether to follow in automated sync or to manually choose which slides to view while capture is playing.
Actions/workaround/resolution/next steps
Get students to stay on the presentation screens and change as the tutor is changing in the video
