I am trying to delete the last class within a course but I cannot because the "e" that has the "what's new" announcement blocks it.

I can make the trash can appear by clicking the + but when I try to click the trash can, it closes the pop down.

I would like the ability to either move the "e" or make it go away after reading the announcements.

(edit) I was able to eventually delete the final class in the list by blocking the "e" icon and then slowly moving my mouse until the trash can icon lit up. I would still like the ability to either move or remove the "e".
