Do Not Demote Admin When Working with LMS

Our team works frequently between Echo and Canvas. Whenever we access Canvas and then access Echo, our admin role is demoted to instructor. This is cumbersome to have to always promote to admin after working in Canvas.

Stop LTI removing admin role when entering course via LTI

As an echo admin I often troubleshoot the LTI course links to see if they meet instructor expectations. When clicking a course link in Blackboard via LTI, an administrator has their role set to instructor and there is no option to return to the administrator role without logging out and logging back in again. This is a frustrating, time consuming workflow. We would like to see the LTI recognise our admin status and not change it, or give us the ability to change back into admin role via the profile icon.

My workaround for that annoyance is to have my echo360 page open in a different browser. I stay in the administrator role with no issues.

Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing it, we have decided to address some of the points you raised. We plan to focus on smoothing how roles are mapped while implementing LTI 1.3 for EchoVideo, however we might have to adjust the workflows at some other time if we find conflicts with the mappings of the roles. All other feedback will be kept on file for future consideration.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and insights.

or at least let admins still "Change role" when accessing Echo via the LTi

I would love this! It's bothersome to always see the "You don't have permissions" message when trying to do something and you've accidentally switched roles.

I work in Blackboard and this also happens to me when moving from the ALP in Blackboard back to ECHO. It is frustrating and time consuming.
