EchoVideo: Consolidated analytics: Add total percentage of videos watched by each student
being evaluated

Several faculty members that embed media in Canvas have indicated that they are manually adding up the percentage of videos watched by each student. Can this be something that automatically displays to instructors? Like it does in a section? https://support.echo360.com/hc/en-us/articles/11077383801997-EchoVideo-Course-Analytics-Student-Data

Hi Katie Becker,
Thank you for submititng this request. I would really like to understand the current workflow that your faculty members are utilising to do this.
The main areas I would like to understand are:
- Are they embedding individual media items directly into the Canvas course, or are they linking to a specific classroom using the LTI connector?
- How are they collating the data? You mention they are manually adding up the percentage watched by each student, are they manually populating a spreadsheet, or something similar, with this information?
- How are they using this data? Is it being used for any kind of weighting on students scores, monitored and mapped against attainment levels, etc?
- How is this data shared? Is it being shared with the individual students, or other faculty members, and if it is in what format?
Understanding the questions, above, will help us in assessing this request so please do reach out if you would rather have a call about it and we can get something arranged.
As always, thank you very much for raising this and engaging with us to ensure EchoVideo is continuing to evolve and meet your needs.
With kind regards,
Marc
