Provide the ability to add a call out box (with a palette of colors to choose) and add a hyperlink functionality for linking to external resources to a video editor. Owners or those with edit permissions could add these features at specific start and end times anywhere in the video.

This would help with calling a viewer's attention to important information on a topic(s) being taught. Adding a hyperlink functionality would also be valuable when there are external resources much like you can do with a media slide or a multiple-choice polling question > embed media. Or could also have the functionality to link to a Presentation. Adding these features would be valuable for viewer engagement while watching the video. Lastly, a reactions feature would also provide viewer's the ability to interact on the content while also giving the instructor feedback on student understanding and engagement without embedded polls.

Microsoft Stream video player, and other video editors like Adobe Rush and Microsoft Clipchamp have call out features and hotspots (hyperlinks). Please consider adding this functionality to the EchoVideo media editor, doing so would save faculty time for downloading the video and editing it outside of the platform in advanced editors then uploading it back to EchoVideo to post in Canvas.

These features would be valuable engagement elements to teaching and learners.
