More Email Options

We would like more options about which emails are sent at a system and individual user level.
At a system level we would like to be able to the default for which emails are sent to users.
It would be ideal if there was a setting for each type of email that is sent.
Eg.
Invitation emails for new users - y/n
Video processing notification emails - y/n
At an individual user level (ie in account settings) the same options could be presented, so the user could overwrite the default setting about what emails they receive.

Merged in a post:
Email notifications for confusion and questions
Can you add an option of having email notification for when confusion is flagged and questions asked.
This is because we create training content using Echo so lecturers are watching/interacting with it at their own time.

Our institution imports users after they attend training, we don't advertise creation of account through Canvas LTI or use SSO. We like to police user accounts. It would be a great idea to provide an email template that could be customized in the Configurations. For instance, we'd like to include knowledge base article(s) that relate to our institution it would be especially helpful for new user/section invitations.

Voting again for faculty we get this question often with the increase of Echo360 being used at our institution.

I am voting on this for faculty. With the Covid-19 pandemic many are looking at teaching asychronously. Our training workshops have increased exponentially along with the amount of faculty using Echo360 in their teaching! Faculty are very excited about the classroom tools and polling! However, they are very concerned of not getting email updates when a student posts a question or participates in a polling activity. Email notifications have been the top concern of faculty from my training workshops.

This is a very important, even urgent, issue. I am teaching asynchronously, which means that students watch my videos and submit questions or comments over the course of several days. I have no idea if anyone posed a question until I go to the site and check. For the same class I'm using the Perusall app for reading assignments, and whenever a student tags me in a question I get an email notification and can immediately respond (right from my inbox). Meanwhile, the student gets an email notification that their question has been answered. That feature is urgently needed here as well.

We would like at least two separate options:
- new account notifications (which we want disabled since our users are created via API or Canvas LTI)
- other content notifications (which we want enabled).
