Resize media when viewing from Details in the Library

I used to be able to resize the window that the media plays in when I am viewing it from the Details page. Now I am restricted to a small corner on the top right for playing or I have to use full screen (and exit full screen every time I need to switch windows). I need the flexibility to resize windows/panels and look at more than one window on my screen while playing the video on the Details page. I don't want to go to the Edit Media page, just to view the video.

Changing the preview size would be a great improvement, the real-estate for the General information looks to be a waste of space for a few text boxes. especially when all the same information is below the video preview.
At the moment I'm advising staff to zoom in their web-page to 130-150% but this can cause the rest of the text on the page to become quite large.
I have had a couple of staff that have been using the "media editor" window in a separate browser window to use as the video preview which looks more like the old preview (video across the whole width of the page)
These staff have placed support calls with me as they are unable to view the captions, which aren't available in the editor.
They also said when editing the transcript they could not save new versions and unable to apply new captions. After investigation this was all due to the media editing page being opened in another window, once that window was closed the transcripts and captions could be saved.
