Set default device capture duration

Could consideration please be given to allowing setting of a default capture duration for ad hoc device captures?
This is listed as two hours here:
but a couple of captures we took lasted only one hour.

Hi Andrew Gates, the article you provided and the 2-hour default setting only applies to ad hoc captures that are started by using the One-Touch recording button on either the Pro or Pod appliance. If you start an ad hoc capture in any other manner (from the create button, using the Universal Capture, etc.), the default recording length is one hour. If you think you're seeing incorrect behavior, please let us know or email support@echo360.com.
Regarding be able to set your own default duration, we'll definitely keep this in mind! Would you ideally want to be able to set 1 default for the whole institution, or would more granular controls be desired?

Hannah Petty: Thanks Hannah, that helps explain things!
I'd have thought the best solution would be to be able to set defaults of any length on a per device basis off the device front menu. This way institutions could cater for devices in different rooms with different needs.
If this is not possible (or alternatively as an extra level of functionality) being able to set a global default (maybe included in the device.xml file?), and one longer than an hour, would make sense, at least for our needs. I'd suggest it would be better to err on the side of defaulting to longer recording periods since it's easier to trim off what's not needed using the editor than try to find replacement footage for parts of the session that ended up not being recorded - if that footage exists.
Fortunately for us we had equivalent footage from a previous year that we could add to the end of the first hour, but it's not a good look.
I'm a bit surprised that there are different defaults based on how the capture was started. If I have a device in a particular room, I'd have thought that the sessions for that room are likely to last for a similar amount of time regardless of whether I started the capture via one touch, create or UC. Although I can see that choosing how the capture is started does provide flexibility in how long the capture lasts, in this case it caused confusion and my guess is our teachers - many of whom can be casual - are unlikely to remember the distinction.
Thanks
