I agree for the same reasons. We have to keep a version of each change we make in an external repository and to be able to pull these records for audit purposes.

This would be incredibly helpful when we have a legal discovery request to fulfill and they need a version history from or before a specific date. The size of our InkDocs can make it challenging to generate and print a full PDF, and then go hunt through hundreds and hundreds of pages for the few we need. It would save us time, and help to ensure we can meet critical deadlines.
