EchoExam

Helpful information markers should be added to different areas for teachers building tests. The point values per question cause many issues with the last test I built. Are the points per question or per question part? I found out the hard way as I thought they were the total amount of points I wanted the entire question to count for. If there had been a small pop up information of what will happen if I change the blank would help. This would also be helpful for the partial/all or nothing/etc. It is getting old having to look up a guide every time I am creating a new test. It is also difficult when there are no video how-to's available.

I would like to easily see the total point value of the test I am constructing. I do not know where to look for this other than assigning the test, using my fake student account to take it then look at the results to see the total points. Surely it is visible somewhere else? I couldn't even find it under the test settings.

When students respond to short answer and essay question types, they should have access to the full rich text editor, so that they can manage their formatting and access the equation editor.

For those planning to print assessments, there is no way to file or group the created tests by subject/course. The "My Courses" tab does this neatly enough if you could print from there. It appears that the only option for printing is from the "My Library - Tests" tab. Another option would be to create the option of building custom "Test Banks." That would give you "Tests" and "Test Banks" similar to the existing "Questions" and "Question Banks." Instead of housing individual questions, the "bank" would house tests and quizzes. I guess this is just a request for some kind of a file structure for those planning to print tests.

Mobile devices like tablets and smartphones supporting NCLEX question types and advanced questions with tables and complex charts. UKY nursing program is providing a tablet for all incoming nursing students to take exams and will no longer provide space in their computer lab for exams. These types of questions are supported by ExamSoft and will need to be available if we want to win large deals with EchoExam.

As a learner, when I complete an EchoExam assessment with only one attempt allowed, and submitted/exited, it’s still showing as ‘in progress’ in my course page, as attached. So I worried that I hadn’t submitted/finished properly. When I click ‘continue’, I see my results again and click ‘exit’ again, and this button still says ‘in progress’. I can understand that the exam is still in progress for the instructor and is still available to other students, but i can’t take it again, so shouldn’t it says ‘completed’? Otherwise it’s confusing. It makes me think that I haven’t finished the exam properly.
