keystroke tracking for reporting
VCU Dentistry would like to be able to pull a keystrokes report and see with a timestamp, what our students have clicked on and how many times they revisited question items. We would use this report for various things like detecting cheating, confirming answers were selected, and even coaching students with test taking strategies
Downloading Lock Down Browser
Students were prompted to download a secure browser that looked unreliable to me. Many could not download it due to parental control settings. Others had warnings that it would take 3 hours to download the site.
Print Test Formatting
Is there any real formatting for print tests--other than randomize question & answer, I can't find any actual formatting---like changing the font size, instructions, etc... like there was in old Exam View. See the attached picture----my print test prints "select response" on EVERY QUESTION.....
Short answers and essay access to full text editor
When students respond to short answer and essay question types, they should have access to the full rich text editor, so that they can manage their formatting and access the equation editor.
Responses that allow free-hand drawn responses
In a lot of STEM subjects, we need students to draw graphs, circuits, etc. as part of their answers. At present this has to be done by hand with pen and paper. It would be great to have the ability for a student to respond to a question via free hand, so they can draw a graph, etc and submit.
In-app calculator access
As an instructor, I might want my students to have access to an online calculator while they are taking their exam, even if they are in a lockdown browser. It would be good to be able to enable/disable a calculator for student responses for an exam, as well as for specific students.
Access to spell check/dictionary for specific students
As an institution, we have some students who should be able to access a spell/grammar checker when they are writing responses - while other students do not have access to these tools. We would like to be able to enable/disable a spell/grammar checker for an exam, with an override available for specific students if necessary.
Organize Question Banks
Would like to be able to create a folder for question banks from each different subject I teach----for example---a folder for my Biology, a Folder for Chemistry, etc.....
AI capabilities for questions
As a teacher, I would like AI to help me to generate questions based on content that I upload. I'd also like AI to help me generate things like 'distractors' in FITB question types.
