More flexibility when constructing exam papers
As an instructor, I might want to create complex structures for my exams, for example: The first section of an exam might require students to respond to 20 questions from a possible pool of 50 (which 20 is randomised on a student-by-student basis from the poll) The section section might be a 'narrative' style with case study information then a mixture of associated questions, but the narrative would vary across the students Then there might be a final section where all students have to answer the same questions in the same order. Ideally, this would all be possible in one exam sitting.
Reading time for exams
As an instructor, I sometimes want to allow 'reading time' for my students at the start of an exam. This time might allow them to read information and/or the exam questions themselves. During this 'reading time' period, the student can't start responding to the exam questions.
It only allows you to print directly to a printer or save as a PDF file. What I was hoping for was the ability to print to a file (plain text or rich text or ideally, Word), which I could then easily import into word for final formatting. I have pretty strict constraints on how the final exam must be formatted, and the default EchoExam format doesn’t really work for that. I will continue to try this out, but for immediate purposes this makes EchoExam less functional for me.
Video Support in an Exam
As an instructor, I need to be able to upload videos to be used in questions, or link to a video. If linking to a video, I need to ensure that the site is able to be accessed with the lockdown browser, or 'whitelisted' for that specific video.
Downloading Lock Down Browser
Students were prompted to download a secure browser that looked unreliable to me. Many could not download it due to parental control settings. Others had warnings that it would take 3 hours to download the site.
Multiple 'correct' answers for FITB questions
As an instructor, I want to allow for multiple correct answers in FITB questions.
Organize Question Banks
Would like to be able to create a folder for question banks from each different subject I teach----for example---a folder for my Biology, a Folder for Chemistry, etc.....
Ability to use Tablets (iPad) and phones as an Instructor
I would like to be able to access and use EchoExam, as an instructor, on my Tablet (iPad) or mobile device.
Report with learner times
As an instructor I would like a report within EchoExam showing the time that the learner started taking the exam.
Flexibility with lockdown browser
As an instructor, I want my students to use specific application(s) when doing exam within lockdown browser so I want to have an 'approved' application option when setting the exam. e.g. allowing my students to use MS Excel during the locked down test, and allowing them to attach the resulting file.
