Change the Universal Capture Default Quality
Right now, Universal Capture (desktop app) will only capture a display at a maximum of 1080p and a webcam at 720p ( https://support.echo360.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035404731-EchoVideo-Capturing-and-Streaming-Video-in-1080p ). Because of this, it would be best if Universal Capture's default quality setting was set to 'Highest.' Furthermore, it would be a good idea if you could place an alert on the Capture screen under the Record button (see attached image) to alert users to their current Capture Quality Setting (I could not easily tell what quality a browser capture has as its default or only setting and I didn't immediately find a document to tell me either). I don't see much value in capturing from a device in "Standard" quality unless Standard = 720p. I believe Standard = 480p at this time in Universal Capture (and the chart at the link above seems to support that). Currently the default value is set to 'High', but I believe that is 720p. As an AV person, it is my opinion that 720p should be the lowest resolution we record in, because every device can handle this. It would be great to see an upgrade to Universal Capture to see the following resolutions match the Quality selections: Standard=720p, High=1080p 30fps, and, Highest=up to and including 4K 30fps, if a person's computer monitor and graphic resources can handle that output for creating the recording (see image). The EchoVideo platform already checks the bandwidth of the viewer's device during playback and automatically chooses the best playback resolution for the resources available, so it is going to serve up the best available version. Content creation should be at the highest possible quality available to the user based on their device's abilities. I write this because I am tired of seeing or creating blurry captures when I know the display/monitor is at or above 1080p. I have noticed this even in Echo360 provided videos in past webinars over Zoom. Thanks for letting me bend your ear.
