As a Student viewer of videos embedded on Canvas pages, I would like to be able to view the channels of a video side-by-size and have the ability to then resize one of those video channel windows to make it smaller. As an example I have a Desktop presentation in Channel 1 that I want to be large and the video of the Instructor on Channel 2 I would like to be smaller (or vice versa)

We create SCORM packages using Rise 360 that need to include Echo videos. These packages are delivered through our institutional LMS to authenticated students. Current limitation: Public embeds are the only option for including Echo videos in SCORM packages, but they experience intermittent 403 errors. Public embeds also don't align with our institutional content security requirements. We would like to request domain-restricted embed codes that: Function in static HTML/SCORM packages (no server-side authentication handshake) Only play when embedded on whitelisted domains (our LMS domain) Provide more reliable playback than current public embeds Similar to: YouTube's domain restriction feature for unlisted videos, or Vimeo's privacy settings for embedded content.

Suppose I have 20 videos already in the system from guest lectures, and I want to publish these to a class for students to watch. The videos already have a creation date/time from when the events occurred, and it is meaningfully useful to show the students that "this is a guest lecturer who gave a talk here on March 23 of 2025." In the current setup, if I want to faithfully show the date the videos were made, I have to manually transfer this information to the form, even though Echo knows it. Particularly for republishing videos, this is onerous; it is common when setting up a course to go through and put all the dates in. I don't want "today at noon" for the whole course! But the default is designed for the one-off case rather than for designing a course with pre-made materials. Next to the date field, I propose two buttons that can set the date using formation that Echo360 knows. Original Date: Writes in the date the media was created on the server. Especially with Echo360 recording hardware, this is essentially publishing the "honest" day and time the video was made. Term Offset: This button (greyed out if a term isn't selected in the form) checks the start date of the term the video was originally published into, and finds how many days after that the media was added. Then, it fills in a date that is the same offset from the current term selection. Eg: Suppose a video was published 14 days after the start of a term in Spring 2023. When I republish to a class in Fall 2025, the term offset button fills in the date 14 days after the start of Fall 2025 term (sliding forward if that lands on an exclusion date). Most course website systems (LMS) have such a feature, to shift assignment due dates from a previous course offering to a set of new dates for the current term. These two options would make the UI much easier to use for deploying course content in designed classes, and would pave the way for future features like bulk-publishing, which would rely on these kind of options.

Currently, the "sort by" status is forgotten every time the user navigates out of the video selection screen. I've had to change it to "sort by newest" dozens of times already. It would be much nicer if Echo360 remembered our "sort by" selection.

Students and staff are becoming increasingly more comfortable watching vertical or square video due to Tik-Tok and instagram etc. they are also viewing the content more and more on phones. (you can check the stats on that) Can we make it so a vertical or square player style can be used or made selectable? We can have the closed captions and controls appear over the bottom 1/8th. We can upload vertical videos but the players stay in widescreen and when viewed on a phone they become tiny.

The new playlist feature released in Q4 2023 is very welcomed, however we require the ability to edit playlists after they have been created and saved. Can we please request the ability for videos to be added/removed and metadata updated after a playlist has been created and saved? Note that at our institution, a playlist that is created once and never updated would be an extremely rare occurrence, meaning we are unable to promote this amazing new feature until we have editing capability.

I would like to be able to download a PIP view of the lecture that is identical to the view on the website. Our school has one camera on the presentation and a second on the professor. I download the videos and be able to download a single video that combines the two videos into one.

Please consider speeds to 2.5x and a speed bar that allows adjustments back to 0.1 instead of the 0.25 as it currently is.

Our instructors welcome the ability to embed Echo360 content in the LMS (Moodle) via the button in the text editor, but this only allows embedding of content in the user's personal library, not in courses/sections. Most of our scheduled recordings are in courses/sections and users who are instructors in that course/section and LMS course will want to embed, but these users only rarely have the item also in their library. This causes problems, as peopel are not able to find the right content to embed. Additionally, instructors are embedding content from their library to an LMS course, but if a student navigates the course on Echo360, they can't find all of the videos, because some are in fact not in the course, but in an instructor's library. THere are often many instructors to a course, and many of them are sessional staff. This makes long-term management of content difficult. Please add the ability to embed content "from my courses". This could be controlled by an institution setting "allow instructors to embed from their personal library / any course where they are instructor / both".

Instructors can use the Easy-Embed button in the atto editor to share existing content. One additional feature we would like is to be able to see and embed scheduled recordings for a course using the same embed feature. Many of our instructors would like to be able to set up the embedded videos for scheduled recordings of a class at the start of the semester when they're building out the rest of their course, rather than having to go back into the course after each recording has been processed to add it.
