For sharing ad hoc recordings of events with external partners or other similar uses, it would be helpful to add a toggle on the "Links" page when sharing a video file from the "Captures" tab in EchoVideo that allows that file to be downloaded by people who receive the public link. To add a level of security, it would be great to add a "Private access" toggle and link generator as well, with the same toggle for enabling/disabling video download for people who have the link.

I've had multiple requests from Faculty to view their course as a student. Our work around is to create student accounts however this requires additional email addresses and impacts course analytics.

would it be possible to have a share "link" for interactive media allowing them to be embedded outside the LMS ? I understand the polls will probably not have detailed analytics on any "Public" links

Currently, there are 5 User roles in Echo360 ALP; Admins, Instructors, Schedulers, Students, Teaching Assistants At the institution level, there are various users who only need to access certain features in Echo360 ALP and the only role available would be the ‘Admin’ role, which would give them too much access rights. As such, we would like to request for an access control matrix feature to be developed for the institution administrators. This would allow customization of the privileges for each Role or create a new Custom Role with custom privileges that are different from those listed and fixed in https://support.echo360.com/customer/portal/articles/2940252-user-roles-capabilities-and-limitations This would allow the administrators to create custom roles with specific access rights to the various tools, based on the institution’s security policy. For example, a ‘Report Builder’ role can be created and assigned to our business users who only need to access the Analytics dashboard page/tab in ALP; a ‘AV Support’ role to allow the technical support staff to access only the Captures page/tab in ALP. If the content creator wants to add a copyright notice to their media, ideally they should be able to tick a 'copyright' box inside the upload modal. Otherwise, they have to upload, wait, go to the media details page, click on permissions and then tick the copyright box. It would be preferable to support the selection of copyright at the time of upload.

Faculty should be able to switch to the student view while inside of Canvas, without needing to go to Echo360.org . We currently have to enroll a dummy-account with another email address for each faculty that want to see what students see inside Canvas.

Currently only owners can remove presentations. It would be great if we could enable a feature to allow all section instructors to remove presentations. The reason is with big units of study the job of adding presentation slides to a course is often delegated to co-lecturers or a school eLearning team. Having the ability to add but not remove slides leaves no room for human error.

In our institution, only administrators are allowed to delete videos recorded by the appliance. However, We would like the owner (instructor) to be able to delete both a copy of the video recorded by an appliance, and a video generated by "Edit" → "Save as" from the video recorded by an appliance. We hope you will consider our proposal.

Can the permission "Enable Instructor to start ad hoc captures" on the Instructor permissions tab be added to Schedulers also?

Some courses are taught by multiple instructors. Echo360 should provide access to anyone listed as an instructor to manipulate / modify content within that section, not just the content owner.
